Fishing Rod Building Class This is one of our most popular classes. In this class you will receive complete "level 101" instruction on custom rod building. From start to finish you will learn the details of how any custom rod is assembled as well as the more valuable skills of repairing and maintaining your own fishing rods through the years. The custom rod building class is a "hands on" class so we do not take more than 8 students per class. (To schedule a class we need a minimum of 4 people).
Instructors: Classes are taught right here in the 3 Rivers Fly and Tackle shop by our own skilled Pro Staff with over 20 years of combined experience in custom rod building.

Fly Tying Classes Fly tying is an an art that easily learned and that people of all ages can do. In this class our Pro Staff will teach all of the basics of tying flies. From dry flies for grayling to the big streamers for salmon you will learn the skills to get you started on a great new craft that you can use through the years. Whether you are tying flies for art or for use. This class will teach you a skill that will save you money and give you the satisfaction of catching fish with flies you have created. The fly tying class is a "hands on" class so we do not take more than 8 students per class. (To schedule a class we need a minimum of 4 people).
Instructors: Your instructor for this class will be Tom Cloninger. Tom is an expert flyfisherman and ties flies commercially for 3 Rivers Fly and Tackle shop. He knows what works for Alaska fishing.

Costs: $55.00 (The cost of the class is all inclusive. We supply everything you need to get started. All materials and tools are furnished and you keep all of the flies you tie during the class.) In addition, all students receive a 10% discount on fly tying materials purchased during the class.
